Heya Guys,
some of you might have noticed that the style of my blog has slightly changed.
I currently change my personal IT infrastructure and switching from my loved Opera Browser to Firefox ;(((. Thats very painful because I loose the just in time acces to most of my saved and rated RSS Feed Articles, ally your nice e-Mails you sent to me and my collected bookmarks (thats the smallest problem).
Luckily I discovered a lot of good online features that makes it possible to do things online, location independent and from every other computer as well.
First I use now Google Reader for collecting my now 49 blog/rss feeds subscriptions. All this information is now online and browser independent, I can share items (if you want subscribe, let me know) and also tag and rate them pretty convenient. You can find my shared and very valuable articles on the left navigation bar under shared items.
In addition I play with social bookmark services like stumbleUppon, del.icio.us so I might switch soon as well.
Finally I also integrated my Facebook statusupdate in my blog for these guys that avoid this kind of social media plattform…Just have a look an the FB badge on the right side.
Next Steps:
I have to change my Email Aggregator as well. Any recommendation? Sunbird? I would love to have a online service as well, but want to avoid google since they already now enough of me (what a search, what I read, witch sites I visit, some of my mails,…). So if there are any suggestions -> write a comment!
I’m playing around with FriendFeed, a aggregator for all this new social media content so there might be an update soon as well.
